Refund Policy

This page sets out when we issue refunds on InstantSubmit subscriptions and how to request one. It complements our Terms of Service and does not replace any mandatory statutory refund rights you may have under your local consumer law.
1. Statutory refund rights
If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with a mandatory “cooling-off” period, you have the right to withdraw from a first purchase within 14 days of the order for any reason, provided you have not substantially used the Service in that time. Once you begin generating documents on a paid plan, the Service is considered supplied and the withdrawal right may fall away; this is disclosed at checkout.
These statutory rights apply automatically and take precedence over anything else on this page.
2. Discretionary refunds
We will issue a refund on a case-by-case basis when:
- You were charged because of a billing error on our side (duplicate charge, charge after cancellation, wrong plan charged).
- A paid generation failed due to an issue on our end and was not automatically refunded in credits.
- You cancelled immediately after an accidental auto-renewal and have not used any generations in the new period. Contact us within 14 days of the renewal date.
We do not typically refund for:
- Forgetting to cancel before renewal when the plan was used in prior periods.
- Dissatisfaction with the quality of AI output once a generation has succeeded and the file has been delivered. AI output can be imperfect; please try the free plan before upgrading.
- Partial-month use — cancellation stops future renewals; the current period remains active until its end date.
- Change of mind after substantial use of the paid plan.
3. Failed generations
If a generation fails because of an error on our side, we automatically refund the allowance that was deducted. You will see the credit restored in your account within a few minutes. If this does not happen, contact support with the generation ID.
4. How to request a refund
Email support@instantsubmit.app from the address on your account and include:
- The date and amount of the charge.
- The reason for the request.
- If applicable, the generation ID (visible on the generation detail page and in the completion email).
We review refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued by our payment provider Dodo Payments to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
5. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your card issuer — we can almost always resolve billing issues directly and faster than a chargeback process. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us may result in suspension of your account.
